Par:
Par is the total amount of strokes to complete a round of
golf in an alloted amount of strokes. Par is usually equal to 72, however,
may equal 71 or 70 in some cases.
Score:
A player's score is the amount of strokes that it takes to get into
the hole from the tee box.
FIR: (Fariways-in-Regulation)
Only available on Par 4's and Par 5's. A FIR is recorded when
a player hits the fairway after hitting his tee shot.
GIR: (Greens-in-Regulation)
A GIR is recorded when a player hits his ball on the green on one of the
following terms:
Par 3 = First Stroke
Par 4 = Second Stroke
Par 5 = Third Stroke
Putts:
The number of strokes it takes a golfer to put the ball in the hole while on
the green. Note: Putts from the fringe or rough do not count as
Putts. Only count putts when ball is on the green.
